Background and Responsibilities
Involves in planting, data and samples collection and other field activities;
Plant DNA, RNA Isolation;
DNA, RNA quality and quantity analysis;
DNA sequencing and PCR amplification;
Gel Electrophoresis and other cognate techniques;
Samples preparation for Next-Generation genotyping and analysis of genotypic data including linkage mapping, association studies and diversity analysis;
Supervision and training of laboratory personnel and general administration/maintenance of the laboratory;
Ensure compliance with safety regulations of the Biotechnology laboratory;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Experience

B.Sc, HND in Biochemistry, Biology or Molecular Biology with 2 years relevant experience. Knowledge in Bioinformatics is an added advantage.
